The newly established AUA Media Lab aims to strengthen democratic culture, promote the development of a civic press, foster citizen engagement in social media, and advocate for the proper discernment of information.
Established in June 2024 with the support of the Office of American Schools and Hospitals Abroad (ASHA) of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Media Lab’s modern facilities include podcast, audio control, and video control rooms, and will be equipped with state-of-the-art technological tools and serve as a platform for both students and the community alike to utilize these digital resources to engage in open discourse, practice civic engagement, and counter widespread misinformation in the contemporary media landscape.
