The most direct way to change a student's path, funding tuition and career readiness for classes of AUA students to come.
An Endowed Named Scholarship creates a lasting legacy by providing scholarship support in perpetuity. The principal is invested through AUA's endowment, which is professionally managed by the University of California (UC). Only the investment earnings are awarded as scholarships, preserving the principal while generating sustainable support for generations of AUA students.
Endowed scholarships may be established in honor or memory of a loved one, creating a meaningful and enduring tribute. A minimum commitment of $50,000, payable over a period of up to five years, is required to establish an Endowed Named Scholarship. The full benefit to the student will be realized once the endowment principal reaches $50,000.
One professor can touch hundreds of lives. These endowments recruit, retain and celebrate the people who teach, mentor and research at AUA.
Named Endowed Professorship
Named Endowed Professorships are crucial for recruiting and retaining the highest-quality faculty at AUA. One professor or chair can touch hundreds of lives through the courses they teach, the students they mentor, or through their own academic work. Having endowed faculty means students are given the opportunity to not learn only from textbooks, but from the real world of innovation and discovery. By funding endowed professorships, donors can convene the brightest minds to focus on particular problems or issues and spur advances in those areas.
