The opening of AUA’s Najarian Center for Social Entrepreneurship was made possible thanks to the contribution of the building by K. George and Dr. Carolann S. Najarian, in combination with a grant from ASHA/USAID, which allowed for the reconstruction of the building.
The doors to the Najarian Center were finally opened in 2023. Since then, the Center has been used by the University to house its Center for Research in Applied Linguistics (CRAL) programs, AUA Extension programs, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, as well as activities to promote collaboration with different public and private sector organizations.
The Center’s fully equipped learning facilities are bound to create an engaging atmosphere where AUA students and community members develop the essential knowledge and skills to lead social innovation and initiate ventures that will generate beneficial social and environmental impact.
There are multiple opportunities for donors — individuals, organizations, and corporations — to leave a lasting legacy through the naming of facilities within the AUA Najarian Center for Social Entrepreneurship. These include classrooms, laboratories, faculty offices, a large conference hall, exterior patio, and the entire fourth floor, which is currently used as a collaborative study space.
As you watch the tour video embedded below, you will see groups of children from the community taking part in these activities, as well as nurses in the simulation lab that forms an essential part of the BSN program. We are deeply grateful to have such a building to house these activities and, with the opening of the building, are opening up naming opportunities to allow donors the chance of being part of such an impactful space in the community.
